Suwanee Events for June
Suwanee, GA is known to be one of the most fun cities in Gwinnett County. This month, there are several events that you and your family can enjoy!
- Movies Under The Stars: June 7, 7pm at the Town Center Park. For this month, Town Center Park will show The Hunger Games, a movie based on the novel series by Suzanne Collins. This movie features the story of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) as they fight to the death for the glory of their district. There will be festivities related to the movie at 7pm and the movie will start at 8:30pm. Attendees are required to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks, alcohol is not allowed.
- 2014 Dare to Dash Phantom 5K: June 14, 8am. This event is a fundraiser for The Ainsley Paige Higgins’ Dare to Hope Foundation, Inc. and the Palliative Care Team at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This was supposedly a marathon but was cancelled recently due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the fundraiser still stands. Participants can still opt to run for 5kms wherever they may choose to or stay at home on June 14th. The participants are requested to submit photos of how they are participating on the event’s Facebook page. Tshirts wll still be sold and provided to team captains and all proceeds will be given to the previously mentioned charities.
- Shemoves Atlanta 5K, Suwanee: June 21, 8am. This event is catered to a movement to make all women, especially the head of the households, the epitome of health. Their aim is to empower the ladies in engaging a healthy lifestyle.
