Berkeley Lake is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia. This city is known to be award-winning, granted several of them throughout the years. These awards were given due to their ability to maintain the nature surrounding the city. Berkeley Lake has been given the Tree City Growth Award by The Arbor Day Foundation in 2009 as they have been giving higher levels of care to trees throughout the country. The city is also designated by the Humane Society of the United States as an Urban Wildlife Sanctuary because of their sufficient water supply and great greenspace, making it safe for animals to raise their young. Other than these, there are other awards granted to the city of Berkeley Lake.
The city was developed in the late 1940’s by Frank Coggins. Since then, however, Berkeley Lake has expanded via new Subdivisions and other developments of all the land. Be that as it may, the city will still aim to maintain and preserve their environment. Berkeley Lake homes for sale range wildly in price, however, there’s not many of them for sale, in fact, there’s more homes for sale in Sugarloaf Country Club then there are in Berkeley Lake.
