Duluth in Gwinnett County is one of the cities in Georgia that people think of when relocating. This suburb has won several awards all throughout the years. In 2009, NewsMax magazine has highlighted the good conduct of the locals in Duluth by awarding them as one of the Top 10 Communities with the Best American Values. The next year, the NRPA publication has recognized Taylor park for its successful design.
In 2011, Duluth was named by BusinessWeek Magazine as one of the Best Affordable Suburbs in America. This is because the homes and taxes in the city are relatively more inexpensive compared to some other areas. In the same year, PEDS had given Duluth the Golden Shoe Award for Pedestrian Safety Enhancement, this is because of the Sidewalk Project in Davenport Road. PEDS, had again, given them another award the next year for the Road Sidewalk Project at the McClure Bridge.
In 2012, the Chattapoochee Dog Park and Downtown Duluth won awards in Best of Gwinnett.
Recently, there are a lot of awards that the city has, again, garnered. Nerdwallet has ranked Duluth #10 in Georgia’s Best Places for Job Seekers and the city, has again, won multiple categories in Best of Gwinnett.
